Possible CAFO Moratorium in Pierce County

MEMBER ALERT 🚨 

Pierce County is considering passing a CAFO moratorium and making changes to their manure storage ordinance that would add unnecessary red tape and costs to farmers in the county. 

Our legal team is reviewing the ordinances but they initially raise serious legal concerns.

The Pierce County Land Conservation Committee is meeting April 25 at 8:30

 If you can, please attend and voice your opposition! If you cannot attend please consider attending remotely and writing or calling in with your concerns. 

Contact your supervisor and respectfully request they reject these proposed ordinances.

WDA and VDC will be providing comments in opposition to both the potential moratorium and the manure storage ordinance.
